Deuteronomy 30:10-14 God’s Word is Nigh

Deuteronomy 30:10-14
10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.
11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?
14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

-What excuse can we give God for not obeying His word?  Can we argue that we didn’t have access to it?  The Lord has raised up prophets through the ages to bring His word to the Earth and has empowered missionaries and ministers across the generations to spread that word from sea to shining sea.  Entire languages have been created so that God’s word could be spread; when the printing press was created in the west, the Bible was the first major book printed.  John 3:16 is credited as being translated into more languages than any other sentence in history.  Like a farmer sowing his land, the Lord has gone to painstaking effort to make sure that every heart has a chance to receive the precious seed.  God’s word is not far away at all; the Lord Himself put it close so that you might hear it and receive it.
