6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
-Do you have confidence? Do you have confidence for today? What about confidence for eternity? On what is that confidence based? Here in Deuteronomy, Moses instructs the people to be confident for one reason- the Lord God is standing for them. This is the same God who has the power to never fail us (Romans 8:38-39) and the same God who has made the choice never to abandon us (Hebrews 13:5). Those who belong to the Lord never have to be afraid because the Lord is never afraid. “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
