1 Peter 4:19
19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
-Notice how God is identified at the end of this verse; not as Lord, not as God, but as Creator. The significance of this title shines in light of this verse’s implications for God’s people. We will suffer and it will be according to God’s plan. This may sound like not-so-great news, but remember how God wants you to remember Him when you are suffering- as your faithful Creator. Even in the midst of your worst days you can find peace in the fact that the One who created you did not create you to suffer in vain. You were created as a good work and, by God’s grace, you will finish as a good work. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ. (Philippians 1:6)
