2 Timothy 2:19-21
19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
-I have a socket wrench set in my tool box that is my most valued tool. I find myself using it almost every time I’m working in the garage or around the house. I’m certain that I could still get things done even if I didn’t have it, but it’s very helpful to know that I can depend on it to help me finish my work. This is how we should see ourselves in service to the Lord. If we make ourselves willing and ready, we’ll find ourselves being used in many of God’s plans. It is certain that God would still get things done without us, but He delights in knowing that He can depend on us to help Him finish His work.
