6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:
7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
-“Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright.” (Psalm 33:1) The bible is not shy to tell us that praising the Lord is right and proper. It is beautiful to praise the Lord with uplifted hands. (Psalm 134:2) It is beautiful to praise the Lord with uplifted voices. (Psalm 147:1) It is beautiful to praise the Lord with uplifted hearts. (Lamentations 3:41) But one day when the Lord Jesus Christ appears, the best praise won’t be the hand that is highest or the voice that is loudest; the most beautiful praise will be from the faiths that were tried with fire and have come forth shining more brightly than gold.
