10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
-How often do we get frustrated when another person is not getting the point we are trying to get across? We all know the typical ending to those encounters, “never mind”. Instead of trying to change our approach, often we will just dismiss the whole thing with a “never mind”. Consider this in contrast to the remarkable patience of the Lord. The Lord knew in advance that the majority of people would not understand the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, yet instead of dismissing those people out of hand, He takes the time to explain things in terms they could relate to. The Bible makes is clear that not everyone will make it, but still the Lord gives everyone a chance.
