Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth as witness this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live:
Ezekiel 18:23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?
-The Lord sets two great choices in front of each of us and our decision will affect our lives for all of eternity. The choices are simply black or white, Heaven or Hell, God or mammon. The choice that most of us end up making is the one option that the Lord didn’t provide- the gray, middle ground. On the Day of Judgment, there won’t be an option for middle ground; to accept Jesus is to escape damnation and to reject Jesus is to embrace everything that is abominable in the sight of the Lord. The only thing more precious than the choice itself is the Lord’s urging, even pleading with us to choose life. God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked and He doesn’t want to see you go to Hell. He gave His very, very best to make sure that you didn’t have to. All that’s left is for you to make a choice; a choice that’s even easier than what flavor of coffee you drink this morning- 1) Life or 2) Death.
