Psalm 119:105 – A Lamp Unto My Feet

Psalm 119:105
105
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

-Think about this verse of scripture in light of Jesus’ statement in John 11:10, “But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.”  The Lord is concerned with giving light that we many not stumble, but consider that if you are walking in the dark while shining a light on your feet, it’s only going to light a short way down the path at the same time.  This is a truth that we would all be wise to consider in our daily lives.  God is not necessarily going to show us what is all the way down the roads He leads us on.  Should that deter us?  Certainly not.  All of our lives would be much simpler and a great deal happier if we would just put one foot in front of the other and leave the rest with the Lord.
