Romans 8:15-16
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
-In Salvation, the Lord forgives us of our sins and transgressions. This is great, but it’s more than just forgiveness; for if we just received forgiveness, there would always be the potential to fall again, which would make our lives miserable. But beyond just forgiving us, God made us His children. We are no longer enslaved to sin which means we no longer have to live in fear of sin’s condemnation. If we were simply made clean servants, our eternity could never be secured; but God remade us in the image of His own Son and covered us with the righteousness of His own Son. He sees us as His own Son. He loves us as His own being, and “He cannot deny Himself.” (2 Timothy 2:13)
